Notes

Portuguese footwear group Kyaia (founded 1984 by Fortunato Frederico and Amílcar Monteiro) bought the Fly London name in 1994 at a trade fair from two English partners who had fallen out; World Footwear (Jul 2024) names Kyaia as the brand's parent. Forbes Portugal (Jun 2025) reports Frederico chose former education minister Tiago Brandão Rodrigues as Kyaia's director-general and successor, with no sale or shareholding change reported.
